Scanning an intraoral phosphor storage plate

CAUTION
Loss of image data caused by stray
ambient light entering the unit
Remove the plate guide only after the

phosphor storage plate has dropped
into the collecting tray.
Slide the phosphor storage plate into an unoc-
❯
cupied plate guide until the PSP is automati-
cally drawn in.
The size of the plate guide must match the size
of the PSP (see "11.1 Replacing the plate
guide").
The inactive side of the PSP must be visible.
Scanning progress is displayed on the touch
screen. Image data is saved automatically.
The touch screen only shows a preview
as an initial impression of the X-ray image.
Limitations to image previews occur due
to image size and/or exposure conditions.
For purposes of diagnosis, the X-ray
image must be viewed on a diagnostic
monitor.
After reading, the phosphor storage plate is
erased and drops into the collecting tray.
Save the X-ray image.

green.

Reading the extraoral image plate
In order not to mix up X-ray images, only
scan the X-ray images from the selected
patient.
Remove the plate protector from the X-ray cas-

sette.
Place the plate protector with the phosphor
❯
storage plate in the entry slot of the transport
arch.
