Fitting the batteries and closing the siren
Insert the 4 batteries in the siren. Press the OFF key on a remote control or on the keypad.
If the siren gives an audible signal, the personalised radio code is properly registered. If the
siren does not respond, remove the 4 batteries and repeat the procedure to transfer the per-
sonalised radio code to the siren.
FIG. H
Tamper protection
Important the anti tamper protection against the case being opened and the aerials
being cut is not active while the siren is being installed. It becomes active after the first com-
mand to Set the system (part or fully set Group A or Group B) is received, or if the anti tam-
per sensor is engaged for more than 5 seconds. You are strongly advised to wait until the
siren is fixed to the wall before sending any sort of command to Set.

Installation
Fix the base to the wall using the dome headed screws and washers provided or others if
1
they are more suitable. Leave enough room below the base for a screwdriver to screw up the
fixing screw.
Clips the siren onto the base and tighten the fixing screw.
2
Send a Set command (Part set, Fully set Group A or Group B): the siren will give an
3
audible signal. Then send an Off command.
Anti tamper protection is now active. The siren will ring if pulled from the wall or opened,
and if the 2 aerials are cut.
The siren is now attached to the wall. You should regularly carry out a real test, setting off the
siren.
CHECKING AND CHANGING THE BATTERIES
The alarm siren constantly checks the condition of the batteries. It indicates low batteries with
an audible staccato message "beep, beep,... beep, beep ..." after every command from the
remote control to Set or Off the system. A spoken indication of low batteries follows the
audible reporting messages from the base unit, if this function has been activated.
Change all four batteries at the same time, as follows:
Take a remote control and a small Phillips screwdriver and stand on a level with the siren
1
so that you can open it.
Unscrew the locking screw
2
Unclip the siren while holding down the OFF key on the remote control or the keypad to
3
avoid setting off the alarm siren by releasing the tamper protection sensor.
Remove all the batteries and wait 5 minutes before connecting the new batteries as des-
