Cast Iron Grid

Dear Customer
Before using the appliance, read the
following instructions carefully and keep
this manual for future reference. The
appliance must only be used by persons
familiar with these instructions.

Safety instructions

∙ The SEVO Cast Iron Grid
must only be used with
grills from the SEVO range.
The safety instructions for
the grill used therefore also
apply.
∙ The grill must always be
cool when the cast iron grid
is placed on it.
∙ Caution! Always make sure
that the grill has cooled
down completely before
removing the cast iron grid.
∙ Never pour water onto the
assembled cast iron grid
and never immerse the hot
grid in cold water.
∙ To avoid damaging your
cast iron grid, do not use
any pointed or sharp
objects to remove grilled
food.
∙ Do not use metal scourers
or abrasive cleaning
products to clean the
plancha grill plate.
Before using for the first time
∙ Take the cast iron grid out of its
packaging and completely remove any
packing materials.
∙ Clean the cast iron grid as specified in
the "Cleaning and Care" section.
∙ Assemble the cast iron grid as described
in the 'Operation' section.
∙ Heat the cast iron grid at the highest
setting, with no food on it, for
approximately 10 minutes. A small
amount of smoke may appear. If using
in enclosed rooms, therefore, make
sure there is sufficient ventilation, by
opening windows or patio/balcony
doors, or position the appliance under
an extractor hood.
∙ Afterwards, allow to cool down
completely and clean the appliance
again.
