Output Status Monitoring
The DC OK signal is generated by measuring the output voltage. The output voltage is controlled by comparator which triggers at 22.8VDC
±0.5VDC (24V units) and 45.6VDC ±1VDC (48V units) (Factory Settings). This represent the units nominal output voltage less 5%. This
threshold level can be user-adjusted with potentiometer R19 in the following range:

24V units: 22.0 – 27.0VDC / 0.5V Hystereses

48V units: 36.0 – 52.0VDC / 1.0V Hystereses
Note: The power supply's output (VI) characteristic, and thus its output voltage, falls off rapidly in the event of an overload or short circuit.
A green LED indicates the active DC OK signal. The signal is also present at a relay contact (single-pole, double-throw). Three pins on the relay
are available. Con 3 Pin3  DC-OK; Con 3 Pin 5  DC NOT OK; Con 3 Pin 4  Common. The relay provides 60VDC/0.36A. The DC-OK relay
has a switching time of typically 1.5ms (excluding bouncing time). The relay contacts are isolated from the unit output and case; isolation voltage
= 500VDC.
Remote ON/OFF
The signal board can control the power supply. The External ON/OFF can be activated and de-activated with (500V isolation from secondary
side) or without (Non-isolated from secondary side) the use of an external voltage (power) source signal. The internal DIL-Switch provides
different options. The module is delivered ex factory with following standard DIL switch settings:

ON
Remote ON/OFF without use of an external voltage (power) source
If pin1 and 2 of the signal connector (Con3) are connected using a low resistance connection, Remote ON/OFF is activated. This can be done
with a jumper, a relay contact or a transistor. Note: The positive connection (Pin2 on Con3) is internally connected with –Vout of the main output
and the negative connection is more negative than –Vout (see block diagram on page 5).
The maximum current in this connection is 3mA. The voltage appearing across pin1 and 2 (Con3) must be less than 0.3V. Unit is On.
The Remote ON/OFF will be deactivated if the connection between pin1 and 2 (Con3) is high resistance (>20k). The maximum voltage that
can appear between pin1 and 2 (Con3) is –1V. Unit is in stand-by mode.
An internal DIL switch allows power supply to switch off if pin 1 and 2 (Con3) are short circuited.

Remote ON/OFF with use of an external voltage (power) source
The power supply output is switched off when a control signal is applied to + Remote ON (Pin2 Con3) and –Remote ON (Pin1 Con3). When
Remote ON/OFF is activated then the main output voltage collapses quickly and stays OFF until the control signal is removed. The output
voltage will then rise rapidly upon the load conditions.

Do not operate between the limits. There the opto-coupler operation is NOT guaranteed.
During Remote ON/OFF OFF mode the output is actively discharged and the output settles at a minimum value, where the Remote ON/OFF
circuit is able to supply itself. The following voltage appear at the main output:

DIL Switch Settings
The six variations (for 3 output power ranges each with two output voltages types), are implemented on just two printed circuit boards. The
appropriate variation can be chosen using a on-board DIL switch. DIL switches SW01 and SW02 select between 24V and 48V output while DIL
switch SW03 and SW04 selects the appropriate power level (150/300W or 600W). DIL switch SW05 to SW08 are used for the Remote ON/OFF
options. The TIS 150-xxx SIG has the same settings as the TIS 300-xxx SIG but the boards are different.

If pin 1 and 2 (Con3) are short circuited then the power supply will switch on and performs normally. A
link wire connects pin 1 and 2 on the plug in signal connector (Con3) when the unit is shipped.
If pin 1 and 2 (Con3) are short circuited then the power supply will switch off.
Power supply is switched OFF if voltage between + Remote ON and – Remote ON is >2.5VDC(60VDC
max). The unit will switch ON again if the voltage between + Remote ON and – Remote ON is <1.0VDC.
Power supply is switched ON if voltage between + Remote ON and – Remote ON is >2.5VDC(60VDC
max). The unit will switch OFF if the voltage between + Remote ON and – Remote ON is <1.0VDC.
