6.4 REPLACING THE UV LAMP
Caution!
» When working on the UV lamp, the water dispenser must be disconnected from the mains
power supply or the mains power supply switched off.
» Wear protective gloves when replacing the UV lamp.
» Never put the UV lamp into operation outside the protective device provided.
» Avoid direct eye or skin contact when the UV lamp is switched on.
» If the UV lamp should break, ventilate the room for about 30 minutes and remove the broken
parts using cut-resistant gloves.
The following steps are to be taken into account when replacing the UV lamp:

Packaging
The packaging material is 100% recyclable. Observe local disposal regulations. Keep the pack-
aging material out of the reach of children, since it represents a potential source of danger.

This device has the conformity marking in accordance with the European Directive
2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
Risks to the environment and health can be ruled out if the device is properly disposed of by
the user. The symbol on the device indicates that this device is not to be treated as household
waste, but is to be handed in to special collection and recycling points for waste electrical and
electronic equipment. Before disposal, remove the power supply cable. The national regulations
on the disposal of electrical equipment must be complied with. For more information on the
treatment, recovery and recycling of this product, please contact the relevant local authority,
refuse collection point or the dealer from whom the product was purchased.

1. Disconnect the water dispenser from the
mains power supply or switch it off
