Inserting/changing the batteries

Operation of the measuring device requires two button cell batteries
(LR44). You have to insert new, charged button cells upon initial ope-
ration or when the battery change symbol (4A) appears on the dis-
play.
Proceed as follows to insert or change the batteries:
• Separate the measuring device
from the measuring circuit and
turn it off.
• Open the cover on the rear.
Loosen the two central screws
of the battery compartment
and lift it off the device.
• Insert two new button cells into
the compartment observing
the correct polarity (plus pole
points outwards)
• If necessary, pry the spent batteries out of the compartment with
a pointy object as illustrated.
• Insert new batteries in reverse order.
• Now, close the cover carefully again.
Never operate the measurement device when it is open.
Danger to life!
Do not leave flat batteries in the device. Even batteries protected
against leaking can corrode and thus release chemicals which may
be detrimental to your health or destroy the battery compartment.
