DANGER:
Failure to read the Operator's Manual prior to operating or servicing your machine could
result in injury to you or to other personnel; damage to the machine or to other property
could occur as well. You must have training in the operation of this machine before using
it. If you cannot read English, have this manual explained fully before attempting to
operate this machine.
DANGER:
Operating a machine that is not completely or fully assembled can result in injury to the
operator or property damage. Do not operate this machine until it is completely assembled.
Keep all fasteners tight. Keep adjustments according to machine specifi cations.
DANGER:
Explosive materials, severe bodily injury or death can occur. Sanding/fi nishing wood fl oors
can create an explosive or combustible environment. Do not operate this machine around
solvents, thinners, alcohol, fuels, fl oor fi nishes, wood dust or any other fl ammable materi-
als. Vapors and wood dust generated by sanding or fi nishing wood fl ooring can create an
explosive environment. Cigarette lighters, pilot lights, electrical sparks and all other sources
of ignition should be extinguished or avoided. Keep work area well ventilated.
DANGER:
Dust generated from sanding wood fl oors can spontaneously ignite or explode. Promptly
dispose of any sanding dust in a metal container clear of any combustibles. Do not dispose
in a fi re.
DANGER:
Electrocution could occur if the machine is being serviced while the machine is connected
to a power source. Disconnect the power supply before servicing. Always remove the
electrical plug from the power source before changing the brush pad or other attachment.
Always disconnect the power supply before leaving the machine.
DANGER:
Electrocution or fi re could occur if the machine is being operated with a damaged power
cord. Keep the power cord clear of the pad. Always lift the cord over the machine. Do not
move the machine by the power cord.
DANGER:
Electrocution could occur if the machine is used on an ungrounded electrical circuit. Always
use a three-wire electrical system connected to the electrial ground. Never remove or dis-
able the grounding supply conductor on the electrical cord. Consult an electrician if the
grounding conductor is missingf or if you suspect your circuit is not grounded properly.
DANGER:
To avoid injury keep hands, feet, and loose clothing away from all moving parts on the ma-
chine. Disconnect the power cord before replacing the pad, changing the abrasive, or when
servicing. Do not operate the machine unless the machine is in the upright position and the
sanding unit contacts the fl oor. Never leave the machine unattended while connected to a
power source.
