Cautions
• Use only compatible accessories described in these
Instructions for Use (IFU).
• Do not sterilize the M2741A sensor or immerse it in
liquids.
• Do not apply any tension to the M2741A sensor cable.
• Do not exceed storage or operating temperature limits
(see limits under Product Symbols earlier in this IFU).
• Observe precautions for electrostatic discharge (ESD)
and electromagnetic interference (EMI) to and from
other equipment.
• Disconnect the cannula, airway adapter or sample line
from the sensor when not in use.

Troubleshooting tips

Check the following whenever a change in patient CO
waveform is observed:
• Check patient status.
• Check positioning of endotracheal tube or nasal
cannula.
• Check that airway adapter is not damaged and is
securely connected to ventilator circuit.
• If problem is not identified, change the Airway
Adapter or cannula.
• If problem is still not identified, change the M2741A
sensor.
