Automatic resume from standby if a valid physiological signal is detected
Standby suspends patient monitoring and physiological alarming. All waves and numerics disappear from the MX40
and the Information Center but all alarm settings and patient data information are retained. When the MX40 is
resumed from Standby, either at the Information Center or at the device, the measurement waveform and numeric
settings at the MX40 revert to their default settings.
Caution:
When using the Standby feature, monitoring and physiological alarming is unavailable and therefore the patient
requires close personal surveillance.
To manually resume monitoring from standby:
1.
Touch the blue Main Screen button, or
2.
Disconnect/reconnect the MX40 patient cable.
The MX40 will automatically start looking for any continuous valid physiological signal after 10 minutes. If a continuous
physiological signal is detected, the device will automatically resume monitoring and alarming and attempt to
reconnect to the Information Center. If standby is the desired state, disconnect the ECG leads and/or SpO
the patient and select standby again.
