11.5 Use with a cleaning agent
m WARNING
• Switch off the appliance before making any adjustments
or carrying out maintenance work.
• Remove the spark plug connector (24).
ATTENTION
Unsuitable cleaning agents can damage the appliance and
the object to be cleaned.
• Use only recommended cleaning agents that are suitable
for high-pressure cleaners. This appliance is suitable for
operation with the cleaning agents recommended by the
manufacturer. The use of other cleaning agents or chemi-
cals can have a negative effect on the safety of the ma-
chine.
• The recommended cleaning agents are primarily those
that are suitable for use with high-pressure cleaners. These
are available in DIY and car accessory stores.
ATTENTION
Cleaning agents can be harmful to the environment.
• Observe the manufacturer's instructions when using and
disposing of the cleaning agent and waste water.
Proceed as follows to work with cleaning agents:
• Prepare the cleaning agent solution according to the manu-
facturer's instructions.
• Read the instructions for using the nozzles (27) (see 11.4.1)
• Check that the nozzle (27) for cleaning agents (black) has
been inserted.
• Open the filler cap for the cleaning agent tank (18).
• Fill the cleaning agent tank (17) with cleaning agent.
ATTENTION
• Detergent cannot be applied with the high pressure spray
nozzles (27) (white, green, yellow or red).
• Check that the garden hose is also connected to the water
inlet (21) (see 10.3).
• Check that the high-pressure hose (6) is connected to the
hand spray gun (2) and the water outlet (16) (see 9.7).
• Insert the nozzle (27) for cleaning agents (black) on the jet
pipe (10) (see 11.4.1).
• Then start the engine (see 11.1).
11.5.1 Recommended cleaning methods
• Dissolving dirt: Spray the cleaning agent sparingly and
leave to work for 1–5 minutes but do not let it dry.
• Removing dirt: Rinse off the dissolved dirt using a high-pres-
sure jet.
11.5.2 After using with a cleaning agent (Fig. 15)
After cleaning with detergent, clean the cleaning agent tank
(17) and the connected hoses.
ATTENTION
Do not leave the cleaning agent in the cleaning agent tank
(17)!
• Empty the cleaning agent tank (17) after use.
To clean the cleaning agent tank (17) and the high-pressure
pump (22), proceed as follows:
• Pull the trigger (3) of the hand spray gun (2) until the clean-
ing agent tank (17) is empty.
• Fill the cleaning agent tank (27) with clear water.
• Insert the nozzle (27) for cleaning agents (black) in the jet
pipe (11).
• Put the high-pressure cleaner into operation as described in
chapter 10.
• Rinse the high-pressure cleaner with clear water for several
minutes.
11.6 Interrupting operation
• Release the trigger (3) on the hand spray gun (2).
NOTE:
When you let go of the trigger (3) of the hand spray gun (2) the
engine continues idling.
• Switch off the engine during longer interruptions (several
minutes). (see 11.2)
• Pull the trigger (3), until the appliance is depressurised.
• Secure the hand spray gun (2) against accidental activation
using the trigger lock (4).
11.7 Finishing work
• Switch off the engine when finishing work. (see 11.2)
• Shut off the water supply to the high-pressure cleaner.
• Pull the trigger (3) until the appliance is depressurised.
• Secure the hand spray gun (2) against accidental activation
using the trigger lock (4).
• Unscrew the water supply hose from the appliance.
12. Transport
m CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage!
• Take the weight of the appliance into account during trans-
port.
• Wind up the high-pressure hose (6) and place it in the hose
holder (13).
• Place the jet pipe (11) into the lower spray gun holder (12).
Hang the hand spray gun (2) in the upper spray gun holder
(5).
• Push the appliance by the bow-type handle (1)
• When transporting the appliance in vehicles, secure the ap-
pliance against rolling away, slipping or tipping in accord-
ance with the applicable guidelines.
