- Move the gas control (5) halfway.
- Predispose the flail mower for
ignition by moving the Start Lever for
gasoline engines (13). The Fuel ON/
OFF lever (14) should allow the fuel
to pass (Fig. 5.5). Please consult the
use and maintenance booklet of the
engine.
- Set the engine ON/OFF switch on
ON (Fig. 5.6).
- Hold the vehicle engine handle (15),
pull it delicately in such a way to
favour the linking up of the ratchet.
Successively, give an energetic tug, if
necessary put your foot on the wheel
in order to be able to exercise more
strength. Repeat this manoeuvre by
giving short and decisive tugs until
the engine starts.
CAUTION :
Do NOT use both hands to hold the
handle as a possible blowback by
the engine could harm the operator.

- Once the engine is started, we
advise you let it idle for a couple of
moments, allowing the oil to reach all
the moving organs.
