Building instructions
Before you start gluing parts together, use a servo tester or the radio control system to
check that the servos are working properly.
Apply epoxy to the whole surface of the wing root facing ribs, slip the servo leads
through the openings in the fuselage, and glue both wings to the fuselage, lining them
up carefully with the root fairings on the fuselage. Wipe off excess epoxy with
methylated spirit ("meths") on a piece of paper towel. Tape the parts together and leave
the epoxy to set hard.
Glue the fins and canards to the fuselage using the same procedure.
Connect the servo leads to the extension leads, place the hatch cover on the fuselage
and fit the retaining screw.
Locate the prepared undercarriage leg units and insert them in the sockets in the wings;
push them in until they snap into place.
The noseleg unit consists of: wheel and steel wire leg, retaining sleeve, extension wire,
linkage lug and pre-formed wire pushrod.
Locate the nosewheel steering servo and remove it from its recess. Slip the linkage lug
on the extension wire and connect the pushrod to the lug. Connect the pre-formed
pushrod end to the steerable nosewheel servo and fit the extension wire through the
appropriate hole under the canopy. Fix the servo in its recess with a little epoxy.
Slide the extension wire through the hole until it projects on the underside of the
fuselage by 8 mm. Insert the noseleg in the aluminium sleeve to the point where the
grubscrew can engage on the machined flat, fit this assembly on the extension wire and
tighten the grubscrews with an allen key. Secure each screw with a drop of UHU thread-
lock fluid, Order No. 952.
Cut down the pilot figure, Order No. 916.3, and glue it to the canopy frame using UHU-
por.
Glue the canopy to the canopy frame using UHU-por. Mask off the edge of the canopy
and paint it the correct colour (Revell paints).
Glue the stabilisers to the Sidewinder missiles using UHU-por (see pictures), and glue
the completed missiles to the underside of the wings.
Connect a 100 mm extension lead, Order No. 3935.11, to each aileron servo lead,
