Basic Operations (1)

Press the POWER button to ON.

Select the desired source with the
FUNCTION (source) selector.
VCR/VID 1
DBS/ (VID 2, OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
DVD/ (VID 3, OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
AUX/ (VID 4, OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
CDR/TAPE
CD/ (OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)

< To listen to CD-R connected to a DIGITAL
IN terminal, set the function to any digital
sources position (CD, DBS, DVD or AUX).

When DBS, DVD, AUX or CD is selected,
press the DIGITAL INPUT button and
select
"OPTICAL-1",
"COAXIAL" or "ANALOG" in accordance
with your connection.
If "DTS", "DOLBY DIGITAL" or "SOURCE"
blinks on the display:
A digital input souce(OPT 1, 2, COAX) has
been selected, but the source isn't
connected or is not switched on.
In that case, connect and switch the
source on, or select ANALOG by pressing
the DIGITAL INPUT button.
< If the DTS or DOLBY DIGITAL button is
pressed in ANALOG mode, OPT 1 will be
selected automatically. Please select
OPT1, OPT2 or COAX in accordance with
your connection.

Play the source, and gradually turn up the
volume to the required level with the
MASTER VOLUME control.
Recording a Source
You can record a source such as a Compact
Disc onto a CD-R or a cassette tape
connected to the CD-R/TAPE REC jacks.

Turn the FUNCTION (source) selector
corresponding to the source to be
recorded.

Start recording.

< Pour écouter un CD-R brancher à une
borne DIGITAL IN, régler le sélecteur
FUNCTION à une des sources numériques
(CD, DBS, DVD ou AUX).

Quand vous sélectionnez DBS, DVD, AUX
ou CD, appuyer sur la touche DIGITAL
INPUT pour sélectionner "OPTICAL-1",
"OPTICAL-2", "COAXIAL" ou "ANALOG"
selon le branchement que vous avez
choisi.
Si "DTS", "DOLBY DIGITAL" ou "SOURCE'
clignotes sur l'affichage:
Une source d'entrée numérique (OPT 1,2,
COAX) a été sélectionner mais la source
n'est pas brancher ou n'est pas allumer.
Dans ce cas, brancher et allumer la
source, ou sélectionner ANALOG en
appuyant sur la touche DIGITAL INPUT.
< Quand vous sélectionnez DTS ou DOLBY
DIGITAL en mode ANALOG, le mode
ANALOG est commuté automatiquement
en mode OPTICAL 1. Appuyer sur la
touche DIGITAL INPUT pour sélectionner
"OPTICAL-1", "OPTICAL-2" ou "COAXIAL"
selon le branchement que vous avez
choisi.

Lancer la lecture de l'appareil source, et
relever progressivement le volume au
niveau requis avec la commande
MASTER VOLUME.
Enregistrement d'une source
Vous pouvez enregistrer une source tel un
CD sur une platine à cassette ou CD-R
branchée aux prises CD-R/TAPE REC.

Tourner le sélecteur de source FUNCTION
correspondant à la source à enregistrer.
2
Démarrer l'enregistrememt.
