COMPENSATION OF THE MEASURING CABLES

3.3.1 Selection of type of compensation
There are 3 types of compensation of the measuring cables: "nOnE" (no compensation), "std" (standard
compensation for the cables delivered with the instrument: only the measuring cable with safety plugs
is counted), "uSEr" (user-defined compensation).
By default, the compensation is that of the measuring cable delivered with the instrument (standard
compensation).
The type of measurement cable compensation for the testing of residual current devices in the "non-
tripping" mode is chosen in the "SET-UP" mode:

3.3.1 "USER" compensation
If «USEr» type compensation is defined by the user, it is possible to apply compensation to the
resistance of each of the 3 measurement cables.
The cables are connected to the 3 terminals of the instrument (L, N, and PE) and short-circuited at the
other end.
