3.4 Formatting an MO Disk

Many new MO disks may not be formatted. If your MO disk is not formatted,
you will need to format the MO disk before use. Formatting the MO disk
depends on your Operating System.
Before formatting, make sure that the MO disk is unformatted or that you no
longer need the existing data on the already formatted MO disk.
Note: When using the "installer and formatter for Windows NT 4.0" or the
"formatter for OS/2", a SCSI identification number is assigned for the
DynaMO 640AI and its device name is indicated as M25-MCC3064.
Please note that this is a normal operation.

3.4.1 For Windows 3.1x, Windows for Workgroups 3.11 users

1. Insert the MO Disk.
2. Double click [MO Disk Formatter] of [DynaMO 640] group in Program
Manager to start MO disk Formatter.
3. Select 640AI (M25-MCC3064AP) in the [Select a Disk Drive] list box.
Formatting will delete all existing data on the MO
disk.
