Malfunction
Not all smoke is
sucked in.
Signal horn
sounds.
Dust comes out on
the clean air side.
Motor protection
relay (F4) trips.
Device does not start
up.
7.5 Emergency measures
The following measures can be useful in case MaxiFil Clean catches fire:
Report the fire to the relevant safety technician and follow their instructions.

Alternatively, notify the local fire brigade.

If possible,unplug MaxiFil Clean from the socket or disconnect the power supply

for the MaxiFil Clean unit on the secondary switchboard with the help of a trained
professional (electrician etc.)
If possible, disconnect the MaxiFil Clean unit from the compressed air supply
-
and release the compressed air tank of pressure on the draining valve.
Or extinguish the fire using standard powder fire extinguishers.

Attention:
Do not open the MaxiFil Clean device, risk of flame! In case of fire, dangerous fumes
and smoke can lead to suffocation. Use protective equipment where necessary.

Possible Cause
Distance of the exhaust hood from
welding position too great.
Clean air outlet covered.
Extraction power too low, damper in
the suction hood is closed.
Filter element is saturated.
Filter element is damaged.
Intake filter clogged (motor
temperature too high)

Start-stop sensor connected , but
current not detected (welding not yet

Remedy
Place exhaust hood
closer.
Keep clean air outlet
free of obstruction.
Open damper in
exhaust hood to full
extent.
Change the filter
element.
Change the filter
element.
Allow unit to cool
and/or change intake
filter
Have it checked by an
electrician.
Start welding
