Maintenance
Front windows of the unit and the heater element should be
cleaned if dirty. Regular cleaning is recommended.
Suitable cleaning agents are:
•
AJAX glass cleaner
•
Anti-static plastic cleaners
•
Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol, solvents con-
taining alcohol, or aggressive and abrasive window-cleaning
agents.
Clean the interior of the device column as described in section 5:
Dismantling for Maintenance/Repair.
The heater and the M4000 or M2000 are splash-proof to IP 65. Do
not use steam jets, high-pressure cleaners or the like for cleaning.
Blow in compressed air from above to clean spiders' webs and the
like from the gap between the column and the front screen.
If the front screen of the device column has become iced-up after
a shutdown, remove the ice layer using a spirit-based de-icer spray.
Never scrape the ice, otherwise you will damage the screens!
