If the pilot valve does not unload as tank pressure approaches 130 PSIG, slowly turn the top end
setting counterclockwise until pilot starts to unload prematurely (at 100 PSIG.). Turn the top
end setting clockwise in 1/4 turn increments, tap down on the internal rod at the toggle
attachment, and repeat until desired top end setting is reached.
If the pilot valve begins to rifle (sputter), fine tune differential setting by a 1/16 turn in either
direction until the rifling stops. After fine-tuning, secure the setting by turning the locknuts (Fig.
4-1 and 4-3) clockwise until tight. Hold the setting (Fig. 4-2 & 4-4) in place while turning
locknuts to secure.

LUBRICATION

Inspect and lubricate the tool when required. Only use light oil to lubricate the tool. Other
lubricants may not be suitable and could damage the tool or cause a malfunction during use.
NOTICE! NEVER use a penetrating oil to lubricate the tool. Penetrating oil may act as a
solvent that can break down the grease and cause the tool to seize up.
Prior to daily operation, make a habit of checking the oil level in
your compressor pump. A sight gauge on the outside of the
pump's crankcase is provided to make the job easier. ALWAYS
maintain the oil level to read 2/3 full on the sight gauge. Oil levels
over this amount will result in oil blowing past the rings or
through the crankcase breather. Lower amounts of oil will result in
insufficient lubrication of moving parts.
Reciprocating compressors will consume a certain amount of oil
under normal operation. If you are concerned about your oil
consumption, monitor and record oil consumption daily. When
filling your crankcase with oil, be sure to use a single viscosity, non-detergent oil.
Do not operate the pump with an inadequate or excessive amount of oil. This model is splash
lubricated by means of dippers on the connecting rods. The pump MUST be operated in a level
position for proper lubrication.
OIL TYPE TABLE
The compressor is shipped with 30 WT oil in the pump and 10w 30 oil in the motor. Change the
oil if necessary based on the temperature range found in the Oil Type Table.

STORAGE
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of lubricant to the steel parts to
avoid rust. Remove the lubricant before using the tool again.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for electronic devices,
batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
