Inserting DVD-RAM, DVD-R and other discs

If this drive is installed horizontally

Insert so the label-side of the shutter is
facing up.

Push the DVD-RAM disc about 2 cm to-
wards the drive.

Press gently on the shutter-label so the
DVD-RAM disc sits firmly on the tray.
Other discs such as non-cartridge
DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs

Disc guide
Indent for 8-cm discs
Set 8-cm discs in the indent.
Set 12-cm discs so the rear edge is under the
stopper and the sides are between the disc
guides.
Discs cannot be read and may be damaged if
you insert them incorrectly.
Remove 8-cm DVD-RAM from their cartridges
before use. Refer to the disc's instructions for
details.

Lower disc holders A and B so they are
the same height as the tray.

Place the forward edge of the disc under
the stopper.
3
Load the disc so it fits inside the disc
guides.
