PUTTING THE LIGHTING UNIT ONTO IT'S TRIPOD.

Using instructions.

1. Preparing the tripod.
- Adjusting the height.
• Open out the tripod legs.
• Unscrew the ring locks 2 .
• Position the ring blockers 1 on one of either holes 3
indicated on the 3 extensions 4 . (Do not use the rest of
the 4 holes remaining).
• Push back the extensions 4 and the ring blockers 1
against the ring locks 2 .
- Stabilizing the 3 legs.
• Place the 3 "GITZO" tags 5 in the locked position D .
• Stretch out the security chain 6 by lowering the 3 chain
supports 7 to the height as shown.
• Then, tighten the wing nuts 8 on the 3 chain supports.
2. Mounting the tripod head.
• Unscrew the nut M6 on the tightening collar 9 .
• Take off the security washer 10 from the head.
• Position head 11 into the collar and push firmly into place E .
• Tighten the nut M6 9 .
• Remount into place the security washer 10 - Fix it on the
head by using the 3 screws 13 .
3. Placing the lighting unit.
- Take off the Knob 12 .
- Place the yoke vertically towards the bottom.
- Place the yoke onto the tripod as shown 15 (handle 14
towards the back).
NOTE. This operation should be carried out with at least 2
people.
4. The head's smoothness adjustement.
This is carried out at the factory, but after a long period a
check-up may be required.
The head's rotation smoothness adjustement is obtained by
the nut M12 16 and a spring washer. Adjust the nut to
obtain the smoothness required.
5. Final check.
Carry out some movements with the lighting unit, to check
that all has been well tightened.
6. Recommandations.
- Lighting unit for tripod use only, do not hang.
- Do not carry the lighting unit, once mounted on the tripod.
- Professional material must be used by professionals.
• Maximum weight allowed on tripod "GT/RJ" = 55 Kg (ring
blocks in position A , B or C ).
