a) Establishing connections and operation

• Place the switch with its feet on a level, straight surface.
• Before installation, ensure that all devices to be connected are switched off.
• Connect a suitable HDMI cable (not included) to the Output HDMI connection and the
HDMI input on an HDMI monitor or projector.
• Connect a suitable HDMI cable (not included) to an HDMI Input and to the output on an
HDMI source device.
• Connect further HDMI inputs Input 1 to 3 (item no. 2273674) or Input 1 to 5
(item no. 2274361) to the outputs of HDMI source devices until all connections are occu-
pied.
• Plug the low-voltage plug of the power adapter included into the low-voltage socket of the
switch.
• Connect the power adapter to a properly installed mains socket. The product is now ready
to use.
• Press the Select button to switch to the active HDMI signal input, the Input LED indicator
of the active channel lights up blue.
b) Operation via remote control
• Ensure that the HDMI switch is connected to a properly installed socket (see chapter 'a)
Establishing connections and operation').
• The remote control works with infrared light. The infrared beam must not be interrupted by
obstacles between the HDMI switch and the remote control. Therefore, align the remote
control in a straight line with the IR sensor on the HDMI switch. The maximum transmission
range of the remote control is 10 m in free field.
• Press a numerical key on the remote control or use the arrow keys to switch to the active
HDMI source device. The respective Input LED indicator of the active HDMI input lights
up blue.
• To switch off, press the On/Off button on the remote control again. The Input LED indicator
light goes out.
• Please note that you can only switch off the HDMI switch with the remote control.
c) Remote control
• Before first use, remove the battery isolating strip from the battery compartment by pulling
it out.
• Change the battery once every year, or at the very latest when the HDMI switch does not
pick up the signal or only picks it up sporadically.
• When changing the battery, also refer to the diagram on the back of the remote control.
Remove the battery holder on the bottom of the remote control by pressing the latch toward
the centre of the battery holder and pulling out the battery holder at the same time.
• Insert a new button cell battery, type CR2025 (3 V), into the battery holder. Ensure that you
insert them with the correct polarity.
• Slide the battery holder into the remote control again. Ensure that it clicks into place pro-
perly.
Care and cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these
may damage the enclosure or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable
regulatory guidelines.
If a battery is inserted, remove it and dispose of it separately from the product.

You are required by law to return all used batteries (Battery Directive). They must not

Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals in

batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery,
e.g. below the waste bin icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to protection of the environment.
