3.3.2 DISTRIBUTOR TEST
Adjust the doser with the unit on the ground, the motor turned
off and the tractor blocked in place. Before carrying out the
dosing test, make sure there are no foreign bodies inside the
hopper and the doser.
1) Add a small seed quantity (approx. 40 kg) inside the hopper.
2) Remove the bend under the injecting tube (A, Fig. 42), by
loosening the quick closing device.
3) Then attach the collecting tube supplied with the machine (B,
Fig. 42) in the same position and place a collecting container
at the other end of the tube (C, Fig. 42).
4) Calculate the gate opening value, with the help of the Table 2-
3, on the basis of the type of seed to be used and the quantity
to be distributed.
WARNING: Make sure the correct seeding roller is being used.
5) The seed table is also affixed to the machine and from this
table it is always possible to calculate approximate seed
distribution quantities. It is, however, always necessary to carry
out a sowing test!
6) Loosen the fastening screw on the gear adjuster (Fig. 43)...
7) ... move the lever to «55» on the gauge, return it to «0» (zero)
and then set it to the desired value (depending on the quantity
of product to be distributed), by rotating the adjuster knob
(Fig. 44).
8) Once the sowing test has been successfully performed,
secure the fastening screw of the gear adjuster once more.
In order to perform the actual sowing test itself, insert the sowing
test handle in the gearbox and rotate it in a counterclockwise
(Fig. 45), as shown on the relative table to the tire in equipment:
wheels from 205/70 -15 =
wheels from 6.50/80 -15 =
wheels from 26x12.00-12=
The revolutions of the handle correspond to a 1/40 of a hectare.
Next check, using precision scales, the quantity of product
collected and multiply this by ten in order to obtain the quantity
distributed (in kg./ha). Make any necessary adjustments. Start up
the machine, performing the above mentioned steps in reverse
order.
