12.4 Calibration
Types of calibration
1.
AutoCal TEC
This process is a fully automatic single, two-point or three-point calibration. The buffer so-
lutions are automatically
recognized by the measuring instrument. Depending on the instrument setting, the instru-
ment displays the relevant buffer nominal value or the current electrode voltage in mV.
Valid buffers: 2 / 4 / 7 / 10 (at 25 °C (77 °F))
2.
AutoCal DIN
as AutoCal TEC, but matched to buffer solutions according to DIN 19266.
Valid buffers: 1.679 / 4.006 / 6.865 / 9.180 (at 25 °C (77 °F))
!
Note!
• Calibration is only necessary for pH measurement but not for ORP measurement.
However, you can test the function of an ORP sensor with an ORP buffer solution.
• The following example shows the AutoCal TEC calibration. In the AutoCal DIN calibration,
Cd... appears on the display instead of Ct.... Otherwise, both procedures are identical.
Endress+Hauser
AutoRead checks the stability of the measurement signal.
1. The function is enabled with <AR>.
The current measured value is frozen (Hold function).
2. Press <RUN/ENTER> to start the AutoRead measurement.
During the measurement, AR flashes on the display until a
stable measured value is reached.
3. You can abort the measurement with <RUN/ENTER>.
The current measured value is accepted.
tion from 0.01 pH to 0.001 pH.
You should only use sensors with an integrated temperature sensor
for pH measurements. The temperature sensor is indicated on the
display with TP.
If you nevertheless use an electrode without a temperature sensor,
the instrument works with a reference temperature of 25 °C. Thus,
you have to temper the medium and calibration solution to 25 °C
(77 °F) to prevent measuring errors.
The measuring instrument automatically recognizes the type of
temperature sensor used. You can connect sensors with NTC30 or
Pt1000.
