BEFORE OPERATING THE MACHINE, FIT THE RUBBER FEET INTO THE HOLES UNDER THE FEET AS SHOWN IN
FIG. 4, PAGE 2 AND ASSEMBLE THE WHEELS (5 IN FIG.1, PAGE 2) AS SHOWN ON PAG.5.
The log splitter, in compliance with standard EN 609-1, is activated with a two hand control: the machine will function only when both the levers
are activated together (4 in fi g.1, page 2).
Never use the log splitter if it is not in perfect order or if it needs servicing. Before starting work, check correct functioning of all the safety devices (two
hands control levers and switch-off button).
Before starting work, switch on the log splitter and let the oil warm up for a few minutes.
On the back side of the machine, there is a bleed screw that must be loosened by about 3 or 4 turns when the log splitter is being used
(Fig. 5, page 3). When the log splitter is to be moved, tighten the screw to prevent oil leakage.

The log splitter TURBO 8 can be equipped on request with a log collection plate (in order to collect split logs – page 6) and with two side collection
plates (in order to place the logs to be split – page 7). To assemble the plates, follow the instructions on pages 6 and 7.
4.2 - For machines with premium graded fuel engine (TURBO 8 B&S - TURBO 8 HONDA)
Before operating the log splitter, carefully read the user's manual for the engine fi tted. study the maintenance regulations and guarantee supplied.
Check the oil level in the engine block. top up if necessary.
WARNING: working without oil causes irreparable damage.
When the engine is new, it is important, at fi rst start-up, to let it turn over without performing any work for at least twenty minutes. this running-in
period ensures maximum performance and smooth operation of the whole system.
4.3 - Lighting
Lighting must be provided in the entire work area of the log splitter to ensure perfect visibility when operating the machine and during maintenance
and adjustments. Even when working outdoors, there must be suffi cient light to work safely. Working at times when insuffi cient light may result in poor
visibility of the machine and its components (dawn, dusk, night) is forbidden.
5 - USE
WARNING:
DO NOT USE THE MACHINE OUTDOOR WHEN IT IS RAINING OR SNOWING.
WHEN NOT IN USE, STORE THE MACHINE WHERE IT IS PROTECTED FROM ATMOSPHERIC AGENTS.
