1. Switching-on Options
1.1 Initial Mode (ATS Reset – Automatic Tuning System)
Press button "M" to call up the dialog line "Initial Mode" via "TV-menu"
–> "Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Service" –>"OK" –> Service
code "8640".
Pressing the "OK" button activates the Initial Mode, the TV receiver
does no longer accept any commands. Switch the receiver off with the
mains switch.
When switching on the next time, the ATS euro plus function will be
called up automatically. The tuning system starts automatically with
the language selection page. At the end of the search, the programs
found are stored automatically and the "Sort/Cancel" menu will be
displayed.
Pressing the "M" button stops the ATS function.
1.2 Loading the Average Values / Emergency Data Set (ROM Data)
Press and hold the
button on the Remote Control and switch the TV
on with the mains button. After replacement of IC82005 (NVM) for
example, the TV set is started with the emergency data set.
In doing so, the basic data is read out from the ROM of processor
IC81050 and loaded into the NVM IC82005:
IC82005: (data specific to the TV can be set via the TV-menu):
- chroma and audio standards
- decoder settings
- reversing point
- OSD position
- blue screen, black screen
- ATS reset
- Hotel Mode
- AGC and AFC
- type of picture tube
- analog values (volume, brightness etc.)
- picture sharpness
- security
- geometry adjustment
- program data (channel finetuning, station ident)
Subsequently enter your personal values, picture geometry via the
TV-menu.
1.3 Cancelling the Parental Lock
To cancel the parental lock enter the number 3001.
2. Special Functions in the TV Menu
2.1 Sleep Timer
Press button "M" to call up the dialog line "Sleep timer" via "TV-menu"
–> "Settings" –> "Special functions". With the or button the switch-
off time can be set in steps of 10 minutes from 0:10 to 4:00 hours.
The Sleep Timer can be cancelled by pressing the "red" button on the
Remote Control.
2.2 Display Time
Press button "M" to reach the "Display time" menu via "TV-menu" –>
"Settings" –> "Special functions". With the
to set the display time to 2...9s.
2.3 Video AV
Press button "M" to reach the "Video AV" dialog line via "TV-menu" –>
"Settings" –> "Special functions". With the
to choose between the VHS and SVHS signal sources.
3. Picture Settings
Basic Adjustment
Press button "M" to reach the dialog line "Picture" via "TV-menu".
The analog values for contrast, colour, brightness and picture sharp-
ness are stored automatically when leaving the menu.

4. Open Service Settings
4.1 Maximum Program Number (reversing point)
Call up the program number which is to be the lowest of the program
positions to be blocked. With button "M" select the dialog line "Manual
adjustment" via "TV-menu" –> "Settings" –> "Special functions"
–> "Programs". Following the menu guide, enter Channel "00". Con-
firm dialog line "Store" with "OK" and terminate the menu. After this
setting only those program positions can be selected with the
buttons in Programme Mode which are lower than the "00" position.
When setting the reversing point to a program position ≤ 10 it will be
possible to select only the program positions from 1 to 9.
4.2 AFC (Automatic Frequency Control)
Only the last two program positions used before the reversing point are
provided with the AFC function (video recorder via HF).
4.3 Decoder
By pressing button "M" call up the dialog line "AV input" via "TV-menu"
–> "Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Programs" –> "Manual adjust-
ment". With the
or
button it is possible to choose between "VCR/
Dec" and "off" on a per-programme basis. Confirm the dialog line
"Store" with "OK".
4.4 Forced Chroma Switching
By pressing button "M" call up the dialog line "Colour" via "TV-menu" –>
"Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Service". With the
it is possible to force the chroma standard switching function into
"PAL", "SECAM" or "auto".
4.5 Switching off the Blue Screen Background (not in AV)
By pressing button "M" call up the dialog line "Blue screen" via
"TV-menu" –> "Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Service". When
this function is set to "off" the blue background is switched off if there
is no coincidence.
4.6 Black Screen when Changing the Programme
By pressing button "M" call up the dialog line "Black screen" via
"TV-menu" –> "Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Service". When
this function is set to "on" the screen is blanked when changing the
program.
4.7 Values Preset in the Factory
By pressing button "M" call up the dialog line "Preset" via "TV-menu"
–> "Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Service" and activate with
"OK".

4.8 TV Programmer (not used when retrofitting a SAT receiver)
By pressing button "M" call up the dialog line "TV programmer" via
"TV-menu" –> "Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Service".

Ext >> TV:
The data stored in the programmer is transferred to the
TV receiver and is stored there.
TV >> Ext:
The data is transferred on a per-program basis from the
TV receiver to the programmer and is stored there.
4.9 Teletext Language
By pressing button "M" call up the dialog line "Teletext language" via
"TV-menu" –> "Settings" –> "Special functions" –> "Service".
