Mode of Operation Switch
This model has a three-way power control switch in the cab
(Fig. 1 & 2).
Pos. 0
All power off
Pos. 1
Power to motor and lights
Pos. 2
Loco moving forward: Power to flashing lights,
motor and lights, Reversing: same as position 1.
Hint: Position 2 of the power control switch also activates
a speed control knob (Fig. 3). Here you can limit the speed
when moving forward (plowing snow). (The speed control
does not work when reversing, or when operating with the
Multi-Train System.)
Multi-Train System
The model is equipped with a digital interface to connect a
3 amp DCC decoder. Remove the plug on the decoder inter-
face and connect the decoder.
We recommend to have the decoder mounted by the LGB
factory service station.
When a decoder is integrated in the locomotive, the power
control switch ist obsolete.
Hint: If this model is equipped with a decoder, the digital/
analog DIP switches on the loco circuitboard will be set
to "OFF". On decoder-equipped models, the DIP switches
remain in this setting, even if the models are used on an
analog layout.
Hints: When operating with the Multi-Train System, the
function button controls the flashing warning lights.
