V. Shutdown
Close the cylinder valve (3) to shut it off.
VI. Storage instructions
Remove the pressure regulator with the gas hose by loosening the connecting ring (1) counterclockwise. Always check the seal for
damage. If you determine or suspect damage, contact your distribution or filling station. Never keep the liquid gas cylinder in your
home, below ground level or in unventilated locations!
VII Retractability
Warning: let the device cool off before lowering.
Before lowering, the hose must be pushed into the column, so that the hose is not damaged during lowering of the column. To shorten the
device for transport, for example, loosen the latch on the table (Image E) and carefully let the column (3) down into the container casing (7/8).
Be careful when lowering! Hold the column tight when loosening the latch. Keep enough distance to the device so that it doesn't injure you
when lowering the reflector. The reflector can be disassembled by loosening the 3 wing bolts. After lowering the column (3), secure it with the
latch.
VIII. Important instructions for safety
Note: Only use in the open or in well ventilated spaces.
(In a well ventilated space, at least 25% of the total wall area must be open. The total wall area is the total of all wall areas.)
1. This device must be connected according to the applicable regulations.
2. The heater may not be set up in residential, basement or office spaces or similar spaces.
3. The heater may only be used for heating purposes.
4. The device must only be placed on a level and solid base.
5. Protect liquid gas cylinders from strong solar radiation.
6. The setup area must have at least a volume of 20 m³ per 1 kW of installed nominal heat load of the heater and be well ventilated (roofed
patios, beer tents, among others).
7. During operation, a secure distance must be kept from flammable materials and substances. The distance may not be less than 2 m in
the direction of radiation between radiating surfaces and flammable substances. The remaining distances to flammable substances may
not be less than 1 m.
8. Inspect for the presence and proper condition (no damage) of the seals on the cylinder valve (also at each change of the cylinder). Do not
use an additional seal.
9. The heater may only be operated by means of an interposed pressure regulator with the acceptable outlet pressure, (see appliance rating
plate and factory setting).
10. After assembly, all connexions must be inspected for leak tightness. A foam-forming media must be used for this purpose (Enders Gas
Control Spray, Item No. 1196). Testing for leaks with an open flame is strictly prohibited!
11. Repairs and maintenance to technical gas-related parts of the device may only be carried out by qualified personnel authorized for this
purpose.
12. The shut-off valve (3) of the gas cylinder must always be immediately closed in the event of a malfunction.
13. Before each change of location, the heater must be shut off and the gas cylinder removed from the cylinder container.
14. Make sure that the gas hose is not kinked.
15. The hose must be inspected every half-year for cracks and damage.
16. The gas hose must be inspected by a certified specialist in intervals of 5 years.
17. In the event of damage, the hose line must be replaced by a hose line of the same quality and length.
18. Do not cover the ventilation openings of the placement area for the gas cylinder.
19. Never move the device while it is in operation.
20. Only use gas cylinders and gas types named by the manufacturer.
21. Special attention must be given that the device does not tip over in strong wind.
22. The gas cylinder must always be in the gas cylinder container provided during operation of the device.
23. The column (3) may not be lowered during startup!
