8�5 Fluid Viscosity
The accuracy of the turbine can be affected by the viscosity of the fluid. The turbine is
calibrated at a viscosity of 21 cSt. This corresponds to a standard kinematic viscosity for
hydraulic fluids at an operating temperature of 50 °C. The kinematic viscosity of all hydrau-
lic fluids is dependent on the temperature of the relevant fluid. & "Viscosity-Temperature
Table" on Page 93
The shaded area on the Viscosity-Temperature Table indicates the viscosities which can be
measured by the turbine (calibrated at 21 cSt.) with a minimal effect on the accuracy (less
than ± 1% full scale).
Contact the manufacturer if a turbine should be calibrated for different viscosities.
