9�3 Fluid Viscosity
The performance of the hydraulic tester can be affected by the viscosity of the fluid. The hy-
draulic tester is calibrated at a viscosity of 21 cSt. This corresponds to a standard kinematic
viscosity for hydraulic fluids at an operating temperature of 50 °C. The kinematic viscosity
of all hydraulic fluids is dependent on the temperature of the relevant fluid. & "Viscosity-

The shaded area on the Viscosity-Temperature Table indicates the viscosities which can
be measured by the hydraulic tester (calibrated at 21 cSt.) with a minimal effect on the ac-
curacy (less than ± 1% full scale).
