Design and Function
Function
The turbine wheel is driven by the flow of fluid and set into rotation. The speed at which the
turbine wheel rotates is proportional to the flow rate of the fluid. The rotational speed of the
turbine wheel is detected and measured by means of a pickup.
The integrated flow straighteners eliminate any disruptive flow swirl and enable flow mea-
surement in both directions.
The top of the turbine is equipped with an optional connection for a temperature and pres-
sure sensor. The turbine is equipped with an EMA-3 quick coupling for pressure measure-
ment, a 1/4" BSPP port and an M10x1 port for the connection of a temperature sensor.
This enables oil temperatures to be measured directly in the oil flow.
