3.5 UPS (Universal Power Supply)
The UPS accepts a wide input voltage range from 20 ... 265 VAC or 20 ... 375 VDC which is converted to 24 VDC to supply
the light curtain edges. The high and low power sides are electrically isolated. The light curtain's semiconductor output is
also converted to a potential-free relay contact. An LED signals any change in the status of the relay output from the UPS.
To indicate an interruption of the light curtain, a buzzer can be switched on.
The device comes enclosed in an IP54-rated housing with an integrated EMC filter and short-circuit protection. If DC
voltage is used for powering the UPS, the polarity of the terminals L and N is irrelevant. All necessary hardware, connectors
and instructions are included. Proper wiring is enabled by separate clamps for emitter and receiver.
Important: The UPS interface connector to the door drive is backwards compatible with the cegard/Max interface
connector to the door-drive.

` Never scratch or paint the optical lenses because they
form the light path! Do not drill additional holes into the
profile. Unpack the profiles just before installation in
order to avoid damage.
` Do not bend or twist the edges!
` Oil can damage the cables. Contamination must be
avoided at all times!
` Although the cegard/Mini-MOD is insensitive to direct

sunlight, avoid all unnecessary exposure if possible,
most especially to the receiver.
` Avoid interference from blinking lights or infrared light
sources such as photo cells or other light curtains.
` Do not install the cegard/Mini-MOD in places where the
emitter and receiver edges are directly exposed to light
sources such as FL tubes or energy saving lamps.
` Make sure to place the connection plugs for both the
emitter and receiver at the same end.
