Edge of the bulk ink system case
Note
- Do not supply more ink when the ink level inside a reservoir has
reached the FULL indication line. Otherwise, the ink may spill out
of the reservoir.
- Do not let the ink level go under the edge of the bulk ink system
case. If the reservoirs get empty, air will enter the ink tubes, which
may cause print defects.
- When it is difficult to see the level of ink inside the reservoirs
(for black or cyan color), you may compare the reservoir weight
with that of a reservoir containing a color easy to check, such as
yellow, to determine if ink needs to be supplied.
Follow the procedure below to replenish
the reservoirs with ink.
1
Remove the empty ink bottle from the
reservoirs.
Note
- It takes several minutes for the ink inside a bottle to
completely flow into the reservoir. Wait until the bottle is
completely empty before removing it from the reservoir.
(2)
Turn slowly the B part in the counter-clockwise
direction while holding the A part with your hand to
prevent it from turning.
