7. Mechanical coding of the plug-in module
Where there is a danger of inserting a module in
the wrong slot, the possibility has to be excluded
as prescribed in EN 50 020, Section 6.3.2. To this
end, the units must be supplied already equipped
with coding inserts as shown in Figure 3.

8. Electrical connections
The isolating amplifier SIRAX TV 808 is plugged onto a
backplane BP 902. A 96 pin connector (model C, DIN 41 612)
establishes the electrical connections between the isolating
amplifier and the backplane. The pin connections can be
seen from Fig. 4.
Please refer to our backplane instructions for the back-
plane wiring
Make sure that the cables are not live when
making the connections!
The 230 V power supply is potentially
dangerous!

Also note that, ...
... the data required to carry out the prescribed
measurement must correspond to those marked
on the nameplate of SIRAX TV 808 (
ring input,
measuring output,
supply!).
... the total loop resistance connected to the output
(receiver plus leads) does not exceed the maxi-
mum permissible value R
output" in Section "6. Technical data" for the
maximum values of R
... the measurement input and output cables should
be twisted pairs and run as far as possible away
from heavy current cables!
In all other respects, observe all local regulations
when selecting the type of electrical cable and
installing them!
