2) To switch on the unit, connect the mains plug to a
socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz).
For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a mains socket which
is switched on and off via a light switch.
3) Advance the SPEED control in a clockwise
direction; from a certain control position, the unit will
start flashing. The further the control is advanced,
the higher the flash rate will be.
4) To switch off the unit, disconnect the mains plug
from the socket or switch off the corresponding light
switch of the socket.
4.1 Operation via a controller
The stroboscope can be operated via a controller sup-
plying a control voltage of +2 V to +10 V. The "img
Stage Line" range offers suitable controllers (→ chap-
ter 1). Connect the controller via a cable with 6.3 mm
mono plugs to the jack IN. Detailed information for con-
necting several stroboscopes can be found in the
instruction manual of the corresponding controller.
5 Replacing the Flash Lamp

The lamp should be replaced by skilled personnel
only!

A defective lamp must always be replaced by one of
the same type.
WARNING Always disconnect the mains cable
from the socket before opening the
hous ing cover and wait for at least
15 minutes; even after switching off, the
wire wrap of the lamp may still carry
voltage for a while!
1) Remove the bead chain at the transparent housing
cover. Unlock the cover by turning it counter-clock-
wise and remove it.
2) Seize the defective lamp by its black base and pull
it from the holder.
3) Insert the new lamp into the holder. Always seize
the lamp by its base; never touch the glass tube
with your fingers; finger marks will burn into the
glass and reduce the luminous power.
4) Replace the cover, turn to lock it, and secure it with
the bead chain. Never operate the unit when the
housing cover is open!
