General
With SMS 40 you can control and monitor your NIBE
heat pump/indoor module using a mobile telephone

equipped with a valid GSM subscription.
The telephone used must support 2G. A pay as you go
card or a normal subscription work equally well. How-
ever a pay as you go card must be regularly refilled to
ensure continued use.
NOTE
Check that SMSs can be sent with the SIM card
to be used.
Deactivate if necessary. PIN for SIM card. This

Mounting
SMS 40 can be positioned lying on a flat surface or wall-
mounted. Where SMS 40 is wall-mounted, use the
supplied wall bracket.
NOTE
When wall mounting, the hole for the antenna
cable must be pointing downwards to prevent
water from entering SMS 40.
NOTE
SMS 40 must not be installed outdoors.
SMS 40 is supplied with a factory installed antenna.
The antenna section has a piece of self-adhesive tape
that can be used to secure the antenna, for example
to a window if coverage in the installation location is
poor.
