NON-REFRIGERATED COLD WELL OPERATION
WARNING
Health Hazard
Ice used to hold product is designated as used in a food contact zone. It
is subject to food spills and contamination and MUST NOT be used for
human consumption.
NOTICE: Do not use food pans deeper than 6" (15.2 cm).
1. Check that the drain valve is in the closed position.
2. Place ice into the well.
3. Place containers of properly chilled food into the ice.
4. Regularly check the food temperature.
NOTICE: Monitor food temperature closely for food safety. The
United States Public Health Service recommends that
food be held at a maximum of 41 ºF (5 ºC) to help prevent
bacteria growth.
5. When finished using the unit remove food from the cold well.
REFRIGERATED COLD WELL OPERATION
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Do not spray water or cleaning products. Liquid could contact
the electrical components and cause a short circuit or an
electrical shock.
NOTICE: Using a voltage other than the nameplate rated voltage will
cause damage to the unit. Incorrect voltage, modification
to the power cord or electrical components can damage
unit and will void the warranty.
NOTICE: Do not use food pans deeper than 6" (15.2 cm).
1. Check that the drain valve is in the closed position.
2. Plug electrical power cord into a grounded outlet matching the
nameplate rated voltage.
3. Turn the power switch to the ON position.
4. Note: This equipment features a bump start, which starts the
compressor in stages to protect the components. When the
equipment is switched ON, the compressor will cycle on and off
three times. After the third cycle the equipment should function as
normal.
5. Allow the cold well to pre-chill for approximately 30 minutes.
Tip: When using ice, pre-chill the cold well for approximately 2
hours before adding ice. This will help the ice remain solid.
6. Place containers of properly chilled food into the pre-chilled
equipment.
7. Regularly check the food temperature.

8. When finished using the equipment, turn the power switch to the
OFF position.

CLEANING
CAUTION
Burn Hazard
Hot surfaces and food can burn skin. Allow the hot surfaces to
cool before handling.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Do not spray water or cleaning products. Liquid could contact
the electrical components and cause a short circuit or an
electrical shock.
To maintain appearance and increase service life, clean your equipment
daily.
NOTICE: Do not use caustic cleaning chemicals, steel wool or
commercial lime removal products to clean the equipment.
Thoroughly rinse equipment with water after cleaning.
1. Place all power switches and buttons in the OFF position.
2. Unplug the equipment.
3. Use gloves, mitts or pot holders to protect hands when removing
hot food containers.
4. Rotate the drain valve(s) to the open position. Drain the water.
5. Use a damp cloth or sponge dipped in soapy water to clean the
inside of the well and the outside of the equipment.
6. Thoroughly rinse equipment with clean water after cleaning.
7. Rotate the valve to the closed position.
