Guide for the installer
APPLICATION WITH TELESCOPIC ARM FOR FOLDING
DOORS
Thank you for choosing our product. GENIUS is sure that it will give
you all the performances you are looking for. All our products
are the result of a long experience in the field of the automated
systems, reinforced by the fact of being part of the world leading

brochure with the images for the installation.
These instructions are valid for the following model:
TRIGON K
Thanks to the inside telescopic arm system, it is possible to au-
tomate folding doors with two panels up to 3 m in length (1.5 m
per panel).
The irreversible system mechanically locks the door when the
motor is not operating. A manual release allows the door to be
moved during a black-out or failure.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR INSTALLER

Before starting the installation of the operator read this manual
completely.
•
Keep this manual for future reference.
•
The gearmotor Trigon K can only be fitted inside the automated
system. Do not install the gearmotor in areas exposed to atmo-
spheric agents (rain).
•
Smooth operation and specifications are obtained only declared
following the directions given in this handbook and with acces-
sories and safety devices GENIUS.
•
The lack of a mechanical clutch device requires to ensure an
adequate level of security automation, the use of a central
control device with an electronically controlled clutch.
•
The automation was designed and built to control vehicular
access. Avoid any other use.
•
The operator can not be used to handle emergency exit routes
or gates installed on emergency (escape routes).
•
If there is built-in anti motorize from a door to the walkway is
required to add a safety switch on the door, connected on the
entry of STOP , to inhibit the operation of automation with door
open.
•
Everything that is not expressly stated in this manual is not al-
lowed.

2. TRIGON K INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
The operator is installed on the hinged panel directly to the pilaster
(fig. 15) or, when the door is open, if there is not enough space
behind the door for the operator, it should be installed on the
outermost panel (fig. 16). The installation dimensions are valid in
both cases.
•
Put the base plate a on the panel, observing the dimensions
as indicated in fig. 17 and weld or attach it to the panel using
4 screws.
•
Find the position halfway on the second panel and install the
angle bar with pin b. Then weld or attach it using 2 screws while
following the dimensions show in Fig. 17.
•
Mount the geared motor c on the base plate a using the rela-
tive screws, washers and nuts supplied (Fig. 18).
The grooved section must be facing up.
•
Release the geared motor c, with reference to chapter 4, and

fit the telescopic arm d on the grooved channel.
•
Turn the telescopic arm by hand until the hole on the sheath is
on the pin of angle bar b. Fit it into position and lock it using a
seeger ring.
•
Move the door by hand and make sure that none of the installed
parts strikes against the door or the pilasters.
•
If necessary, shorten the sheath to remain within the limit of 50
mm as indicated in Fig. 15 and Fig. 16.
The sheath and the internal element must have the same
length.
•
Fit the protective housing on the operator.
•
Lock the operator again (chapter 5.)
•
Perform the electrical connections of the selected control unit
following the enclosed instructions.
•
After having installed the gearmotor, carry out a test of the
automated system and of every connected device. Particular
attention should be given to the safety devices.
•
Hand over to the customer the "User's Guide" page and explain
how the operator operates correctly and how it should be used,
pointing out the potential danger zones that was impossible to
protect.
