This original user manual applies to the Kongskilde
FRL 10/20/55/75/100 and FEA 10 blowers.
Preface:
This users manual has been prepared in accordance
with EU-directive 2006/42/EC (Machinery Directive).
Marking:
See enclosed Declaration of Conformity.
Description:
The FRL centrifugal blowers are designed to convey
light materials direct through the blower. The centrifu-
gal blower type FEA 10 has an extremely low sound
level and is therefore well suited for ventilating and
light dust extraction applications.
The FRL/FEA blowers are not intended for corrosive
gases, and the air temperature at the blowers intake
must not exceed 70°C (158°F).
Warning notes:
A net should always be in place at the blowers intake,
to protect against access to the rotor.
Make sure all guards are in place and properly secured
during operation.
Always disconnect power to the blower prior to repair
and maintenance. The main switch must be switched
off and locked to ensure the blower cannot be started
by mistake.
Never put your hand into the blower intake or outlet
while the blower is running.
The blower should be installed in an accessible
location for maintenance and repair.
The working area around the blower should be clear
and trip free.
Make sure to have adequate lighting when working on
the blower.
Use eye protection when working close to the air
outlet of the blower. In case of small particles in the
conveyed material, these might be blown from the air
outlet of the blower, causing eye damage.
If any abnormal vibrations or noise are observed, the
blower must be stopped immediately, and qualified
assistance must be called. It is not allowed to make
repairs to the rotor. In case any damage to the rotor
is observed, it should be replaced before using the
blower.
Do not use motors that will allow higher rpm´s than
specified in the technical data.

Always secure pipes (and other components) mounted
directly on the blower inlet or outlet by using clamps
with bolts in a way that the pipes cannot be removed
without tools. Always use the special safety clamp
delivered with the blower. Never use quick release
clamps on the blower inlet or outlet. Unless coming
into contact with the blower rotor during operation
has been made impossible in some other way, pipes
attached to the blower inlet or outlet must have
a length of minimum 800mm with a diameter of
maximum Ø200mm in order to prevent the possibility
for coming in contact with the rotor when the pipes are
mounted. The reason for this is, that according to EU-
directive 2006/42/EC (Machinery Directive), it is not
allowed for any unauthorised personnel to gain access
to rotating parts.
Never look or place hands into the airstream, blower
outlet or other air / material discharge points to check
for restrictions.
Never insert anything into the blower inlet or outlet to
clean or dislodge foreign material from the fan rotor.
All electrical installations must be carried out according
to the current local legislation.
Warning signs:
Avoid accidents by always following the safety instruc-
tions given in the user manual and on the safety signs
placed on the blower.
Warning signs with symbols without text may be found
on the machine. The symbols are explained below.
Never put the hand in the blowers inlet or outlet, while
the rotor is in operation.
