HOW THE STOVES FUNCTION
This heating stove burns pellets as fuel. These pellets are little solid
cylinders of compressed wooden material, whose combustion is
managed electronically.
The heat generated by this combustion is transmitted primarily to the
water, while a small part of it is radiated out into the room where the
stove is installed.
The fuel reserve (A) is located at the rear of the stove and is filled
through the lid at the rear of the top.
The filling of the reservoir is via the lid with click-clack opening fun-
ction when pressed.
The system feeds the pellets out of the reserve (A) and is transported
through a worm screw (B) driven by a gear (C) into the combustion
chamber (D).
The pellets are lit by air heated by an electric resistance (E) and suc-
ked into the combustion chamber by a centrifugal fan (F).
The air that nourishes the combustion is fed in by the centrifugal fan
(F) through the tube (G) from the room where the stove is installed
(which is why it must have an air intake).
The smoke generated by the combustion process is extracted from the
hearth by the same centrifugal fan (F) and expelled through the mou-
thpiece (H) located in the lower part of the rear of the stove.
The ashes fall beneath and to the sides of the combustion chamber,
from which they must be removed periodically, using a vacuum clea-
ner when the stove is cold.
The hot water produced by the stove is sent to the heating system cir-
cuit by the stove's built-in pump.
The stove's surge tank is closed by built-in excess pressure safety val-
ves. The amount of fuel, the smoke extraction, the combustion air
intake and the pump activation are all managed by a pcb, so as to
achieve optimal combustion and guarantee a high performance.
User instructions
On the control panel, set the temperature that you want the water to
reach in the system (we recommend a mean of 70°C): the stove will
adjust its power to reach that temperature and keep it steady.
For small systems, you can activate the Eco function (the stove will
go off and back on as a function of the water temperature you have set).
Note about the fuel
The Charme, Karma and Feeling pellet stoves are designed and programmed to burn pellets with 6 mm diameter .
Pellets are a fuel in the shape of little solid cylinders about 6 mm in diameter, which are made by compressing sawdust and
shredded waste wood offcuts under high pressure, without using any adhesives or other foreign materials.
Pellets are sold commercially in 15 Kg bags.
If you want to be sure that your stove will NOT malfunction, it is crucial that you do NOT burn anything else in it. If you burn
other fuels (including wood), this can be detected by laboratory analyses and will automatically invalidate your warranty.
EdilKamin has designed, tested and programmed your stove to guarantee the best possible performance when using pellets with
the following characteristics:
diameter: 6 millimetres;
maximum length: 40 mm;
maximum humidity: 8%;
heat output: at least 4,300 kcal/kg.
If unsuitable pellets are used, they may cause: a reduction in performance; stove malfunctioning; stoppages caused by blocka-
ge, dirt on the glass, unburned residues etc.
