INTAKE DUCT
REMINDER:
Fire resistant to M0.
For the CHEMINAIR 400 : Ø 125 mm
For the CHEMINAIR 600 : Ø 160 mm
Drill a hole in the ceiling, of diameter
slightly larger than the diameter of the
duct. Ensure that this hole is as far as
possible from the smoke duct.
The intake duct should not be installed in
the flue liner containing the smoke
evacuation duct.
Do not connect the intake duct to the hot
air escape vents of the fireplace, if these
exist.
Position the mouth of the intake duct 10
to 20 cm below the level of the
decompression grilles in the hood (see
diagram opposite).
Keep the duct taut and cut it to the
dimensions necessary for connecting the
appliance. Insert the duct into the
appliance's suction nozzle. Secure with a
clamp.
The section of the intake duct projecting
out of the hood must be insulated (clad in
glass wool at the connection to the
motor).
Where the duct passes through a wooden
floor or ceiling, dampen the orifice with
glass wool.
DO NOT CONNECT THE DUCT TO THE VENTS OF THE FIREPLACE OR INSERT,
This duct should be of semi-rigid aluminium.
