This concise guide will help you get started with your EquiAlarm and it includes brief references to the comprehen-
sive manual that can be downloaded from our website http://www.kerbl.com.
These references take the following format:

First use

(perform 1x after purchase)
1. Unscrew the EquiAlarm and remove the red label
from the pole of the battery. The batteries are now in
contact with the EquiAlarm.
2. Purchase a separate SIM card, activate the SIM and
slot it into the SIM holder.
Once you have performed these steps on your new
EquiAlarm, you can reseal it with the screws and
proceed with the set-up.
Get started quickly
Programming:
1. Take the EquiAlarm out of the case and take hold of
the special screwdriver.
2. Hold the rear end of the screwdriver against the red
square next to the -symbol for a few seconds.

3. Whilst you are doing this, the status LED will first
flash green 3 times, then blue. When the status LED
turns blue, you can remove the screwdriver. (The Equi-
Alarm is now in programming mode)
4. The EquiAlarm will now connect to the provider. (if
you have installed a new SIM card, the EquiAlarm may
perform a number of one-time configurations. This may
take several minutes)
5. When the EquiAlarm has established a connection
to the provider, the status LED will flash 1x blue and
1x green alternatingly.
6. Now call the EquiAlarm with your own (preferably
mobile) telephone. The number for the EquiAlarm is
stated on the card or on the sticker from the prepaid

7. The EquiAlarm will receive your call and will store
your number in the memory.
8. The EquiAlarm will now call you back to confirm the
number. You do not need to answer!
9. The EquiAlarm is now programmed for use! After a
few seconds, the status LED will alternate between
flashing 1x blue and 2x green. (You now have the
option of programming a 2nd number using the same
method. There are 2 alternative methods for program-
ming the internal SIM card. These are by SMS or direct
programming on another mobile telephone.)
10. When you have finished programming the device,
wait approximately 2 minutes until the EquiAlarm
automatically leaves programming mode and returns to
normal status (When the status is normal, the status
LED will flash once briefly every 8 seconds).
Testing:
1. Switch on the EquiAlarm
the EquiAlarm until it is in a vertical position.
2. Wait several seconds until the GSM LED starts
flashing.
3. The EquiAlarm will call you in a moment. Allow your
(mobile) telephone to ring out.
