Select temperature units °F OR °C.
Turn on the meter first. Press the UINTS buttons and hold
about for 3 seconds to change temperature units.
The Backlight ON and OFF
Press and hold the HOLD (H) key about for 3 seconds to
turn on or off the backlight.
AREA Set
The setting "AREA", i.e. the "area" of the mouth of the pipe
that requires checking, is necessary In order to be able to
display the volume current as accurately as possible. This is
because of alternating current speeds due to differing (pipe)
diameters. Please proceed as follows: Turn off the meter.
Press the HOLD (H) key and hold. Turn on the meter, then the
meter will be into area set mode and the "set area" show on
the LCD. Press the MAX/MIN key to shift the radix point. Press
the HOLD key to shift the flash position and press the UINTS
key to adjust digit which is flash. The units for the appointed
area are in ft² (square-feet). Turn off the meter.

When the unit is moved from a warm location to a cold
location (or vice versa), this relocation can lead to conden-
sation formation on the electronic measuring equipment.
This physical effect, which cannot be prevented for con-
structional reasons, invariably leads to deviations in mea-
surement. The unit requires an "acclimatisation time" of
approx. 15-30 minutes, depending on how high the tem-
perature differences were, before the measuring process
/min CFM can be continued.
