4.0 Operation

4.1 Adjusting the blade angle

The blade angle (fig. C) can be adjusted to 3
positions. To do this, the following measures
must be performed in the specified order:
► Extend the front carriage (18) by actuating the
selector key (34) until the blade (c) lifts off the
ground.
►Loosen the screw (f) and remove the screw (g)
with the provided size 8 Allen key.
►Position the through hole in the swinging
mechanism (e) at the required angle position in the
cover with the underlying thread.
►Reinstall the screw (g) and tighten all screws.
►Optimum blade angle
The optimum blade angle depends on the type
of floor covering, the adhesive and the surface.
Due to the variety of conditions, no general
statements can be made.
In general, the following applies: If the blade
bounces back from the covering to be removed,
a steeper angle should be selected.
With soft surfaces, such as chip boards or
wood, the blade angle should be flat to avoid
damaging the surfaces.

4.2 Preparation

The ROBO-STRIPPER strips glued, flexible floor
coverings in strips.
►To prepare (fig. E), it is sufficient to cut the
covering in strips approx. 35 cm wide.

Wider strips do not speed up the process.
►To start the stripping process, you have to
cut a strip from the side.
►Afterwards, lift up a couple of centimetres to position
the machine blade under the cover.
It helps to remove the first strips parallel to the
general working direction so that you can move
directly towards the next strips.
With coverings that are very difficult to remove,
cut the strips narrower.
►The blades usually sharpen themselves on the floor.
A blade must therefore only be replaced if
the steel sheet is twisted, becomes round
(moon-shaped) or too worn.
►The drive wheels are subject to significant
wear - especially with hard work. If the rubber
bandages are worn approx. 16 mm, they should be
replaced at the factory.
Otherwise, the operating angle changes too much.
It is no longer possible to achieve ideal work results
with korkment or foam backing, for example.
4.3 Start-up
►Observe the mains voltage! The power source
voltage must match the specifications on the
type plate of the power tool.
Power tools marked with 230 V can also be
operated with 220 V.
Warnung
Caution!
Check the stripper before use.
►The blade must be mounted correctly and it
must move freely.
Perform a test run for at least 1 minute without
any load.
►Do not use any damaged blades.
Damaged blades can shatter and cause injuries.
