Restart prevention
The unit will not automatically restart
when the power returns after a power cut.
To start, now press the on/off switch (6),
button "I".

Keep enough distance to the
shredder since long branches can
be spun off while being drawn
into the shredder.

When feeding branches to the unit, keep
holding them until they are automatically
drawn in.
•
Adapt to the speed of the shredder and
avoid overloading the unit.
•
To avoid the unit clogging up, mix the
branches with twigs and gardening wa-
ste allowed to wither for several days.
•
To prevent the blades from becoming
blunt quickly, remove mud and stones
from the roots before shredding.
•
Do not shred but directly compost all
soft and wet material such as kitchen
waste.
•
Keep a couple of dry branches to use
them for cleaning the unit at the end.
•
Do not turn off the unit until all the ma-
terial has passed the blades. Remaining
material may otherwise block the blade
when you restart the unit.

Freeing up a jam
Before starting to service or clean
the unit, turn off the unit, pull the
power plug, and wait until the blade
stands still. There is a risk of injury
and a risk to life from electric shock,
fire and rotating blades.
•
Check that the power plug (
pulled properly.
•
Unlock the housing interlock (10).
•
Tip forward the front part of the
shredder housing.
•
Undo the 8 mounting screws (22) on
the cover plate (23) of the shredding
machine. You can now remove these
and place them aside.
•
You now have full access to the
blades (21).
•
Remove the blockage.
Maintenance and cleaning
Leave all work not described
in this manual to an authorised
customer service centre. Only
use original parts.
Wear hand protection when work-
ing on the blade cylinder.
Switch the shredder off, unplug it
form the mains, and wait for the
blade cylinder to come to a com-
plete stop before working on it.
General cleaning and servicing
Do not spray water onto the
shredder. Electric shock hazard.
