Dead space is the empty volume of the mask up to the elbow.
The maximum dead space of the Mirage Liberty for all mask size combinations
is 151 mL.

Vents are blocked or partially
blocked.
Valve is misassembled.
Cushion is not properly inserted. Check insertion of cushion.
Mask is assembled incorrectly.
Valve is damaged, torn or
distorted.
Pillows are not inserted correctly
into cushion.
Mask is not sealing.

Possible solution
Clean vents according to
instructions in "Cleaning the
Mask in the Home" .
Reassemble valve.
Reassemble mask.
Replace valve.
Check insertion of pillows.
Check and adjust mask as
