The sliding carriage (1) is used as assembly and mounting surface for the load to be
moved.

The toothed belt is usually driven by a flanged electric motor.
The motor can either be flanged directly or mounted via an angular gear or a timing belt drive.
The end and stop points can be controlled by various measuring systems (shaft encoder,
resolver, glass scale etc.). In addition to the control-driven limit switches, the safety limit
switches must be fastened by the user! (see chapter 4 "Mounting a linear drive unit").
Lubrication is by a central grease nipple (see chapter 8.1 "Lubrication").
