INGECON EMS Tools
Registration with username and password
If Internet access is available at the installation in which the INGECON EMS Manager is located, the device can be
registered using the username and password data. This data is supplied by Ingeteam.
1.
On the INGECON EMS Tools start screen, select Add New.
2.
With the connection type Serial Number selected, enter the desired name in the Name field and the
Serial No./Password data.
3.
Finally, save the settings by selecting Save.
A serial number and password is provided with the INGECON EMS Manager for fast remote
communication and to avoid complicated configurations. For this, the following universal
requirements are necessary:
•
For the INGECON EMS Manager, connection to a local network and free outgoing
connection to the internet via the UDP 80 port.
•
For the PC, output to the internet via the TCP 22 port.
Registration by IP address*
Ingecon EMS Tools has a search wizard of the INGECON EMS Manager in local mode. Next, follow with the process
below:
1.
On the INGECON EMS Tools start screen, select Wizard.
2.
Select the corresponding local area connection.
3.
Select Discover EMS.
4.
Enter the name of the desired plant and select Next.
5.
Finally, save and confirm the allocation of the static IP address by selecting Send configuration.
* In cases where the IP address allocated in the INGECON EMS Manager is known, follow the process below:
1.
On the INGECON EMS Tools start screen, select Add New.
2.
With the connection type IP selected, enter the desired name in the Name field and the allocated IP
address in IP Address.
3.
Finally, save the settings by selecting Save.
The software allows the configuration and monitoring of different plants.
6.3. Connection with the INGECON EMS Manager
In order to access the previously registered INGECON EMS Manager, select the plant to which it refers from the
start screen of the application, and select Open.
