INSTALLATION OF CONDENSER AND COMPRESSOR
GROUP
The compressor unit "A" must be firmly and stably secured so
that the compressor is horizontal and not inclined. If the compressor
works in an inclined position, its integrity is compromised.
Read the ID plate to check the nominal quantity, the type of
coolant and the type of oil in the vehicle's O.E. circuit.
The assembled condenser "C" and the compressor group "A" must be
placed on the frame, in the back of the cabin, on the left side (Figs. 1
÷ 32).
Versions year ˂ 2016
Temporarily place the bracket "B" on the frame, fixing it at the point
"110" (Figs. 10, 11), mark the points using the bracket as a drilling
template (Fig. 12) and drill two holes "111" (Fig. 13).
Fully secure the bracket "B" (Fig. 14).
Versions year 2016 ˃
Disassemble and discard the screws placed at points "112" (Figs. 15,
16, 17) (but recover O.E. nuts and washers), remove the bracket "113"
then insert the bracket "B" and reassemble the unit with the supplied
screws and the recovered nuts (Figs. 18, 19).
Secure the unit at point "114" (Fig. 20).
All versions
Add 160 g of lubricant oil into the electric compressor (of the
same type as that used in the O.E. equipment, as shown on the vehicle's
identification plate) (Figs. 21, 22).
Mount the condenser right-side bracket "D" (Fig. 23 / 24) onto the
bracket "B".
For "R"-"S" versions, mount bracket "D" as in fig. 23; for "G" versions,
mount bracket "D" as in fig. 24.
Mount the "A" group (compressor / oil separator) onto the bracket "B"
(Figs. 23, 24, 25, 32).
Mount the condenser "C" on the right-side bracket "D" (Fig. 26 / 30).
Mount the condenser left-side bracket "E" (Figs. 27, 28 / 31) onto the
bracket "D".
Fix the condenser "C" to the bracket "E" (Fig. 29 / 31).
Then connect to the supplied wiring using the extension cable "W".
Then connect electrically to the supplied wiring.

CONNECTION OF HOSES AND FITTINGS
The supplied G8 "G" and G10 "H" hoses are the connection between
the vehicle's O.E. cooling circuit and the supplied equipment. They
must be fitted in the O.E cooling circuit, running parallel, just before
the O.E. compressor, using the special fittings provided (Figs. 33 ÷ 53).
The route of the hoses must be as straight as possible, avoiding
tight bends or siphons.
Read the ID plate to check the nominal quantity, the type of
coolant and the type of oil in the vehicle's O.E. circuit.
PROCEDURE
Connect a "filling / recovery / vacuum station" and recuperate the
coolant contained in the vehicle's O.E. circuit; disconnect the filling
station.
Cut a length of G8 hose "G" long enough to allow the connection
between the oil separator outlet and the condenser inlet. Connect the
180° fitting "K" to the end of the pipe (oil separator side) and the 90°
fitting "M" to the other end (condenser side) using the supplied "O"
clamps, then connect the unit to the components mentioned above
(Figs. 33 ÷ 35).
Fit the spiral band protection "J" on the G8 hose "G" in the points of
contact with the brackets (Figs. 34, 35).
Fit the insulating hose "I" over the entire length of the G10 hose "H".
Connect the G10 hose "H" to the electric compressor using the 90° "N"
fitting and "P" clamp (Fig. 33).
Connect the other piece of the G8 hose "G" (not yet connected) to the
condenser's outlet using the 180° "L" fitting and the "O" clamp (Fig.
34).
Fix the G8 hose "G" (just connected) to the lower part of the condenser
using an "R" clamp and the corresponding screws (Figs. 34, 35). Then
fix also the other hose to it using zip ties.
"R"-"S" versions / year ˂ 2016
Fix the O.E. hose "115" on the upper part of the condenser's electric
fan using a "Q" clamp and the corresponding screws (Figs. 36, 37).
All versions
Bring the G8 "G" and G10 "H" hoses to the O.E. compressor "100".
The position of the O.E. compressor "100" may vary depending on the
vehicle's version.
Disconnect both O.E. hoses from the O.E. compressor "100".
Close the O.E. circuit with plugs to prevent the entry of humidity
and impurities.
Reconnect both O.E. hoses to the compressor, interposing the supplied
special fittings and O-rings "AK - AL - AQ - AR" (versions with L6 engine)
(Figs. 40 ÷ 46) / "AM - AN - AQ - AR" (versions with V8, 520 HP engine)
(Figs. 47, 48) / "AV - AW - AX - AQ - AR" (versions with V8, 560 HP
engine) (Figs. 49, 50, 51) / "AO - AP - AQ - AR" (versions with V8, 580
HP engine and above) (Figs. 52, 53).
Connect the G8 "G" and G10 "H" hoses to the corresponding special
fittings using the clamps "AS - AT".
To connect the hoses to the fittings, follow the procedure
described in the section "HOSES CLAMPING METHODS".
