3.3 fi nish fl oor consideration
If the appliance is installed directly on carpeting, vinyl tile or other combustible material other than wood fl ooring,
the appliance shall be installed on a metal or wood panel extending the full width and depth, unless otherwise
tested.
When roughing in the appliance, raise the appliance to accomodate for the thickness of the fi nished fl oor materials
(i.e. tile, carpeting, hardwood), which, if not planned for, will interfere with the installation of the safety barrier and/
or any decorative front. It is not necessary to install a hearth extension with this appliance.
