14 Vacuum-sealing with the VC 100 and VC 200
1. Fold down the lid of the appliance and then connect the container set's hose connector
to the connection piece of your appliance (top left) using the connecting hose of your
appliance.
2. Fill the containers and leave a space of at least 3 cm from the top edge; put on the lid.
3. Switch on the vacuum sealer. Press the "Container Vacuum" (Behälter Vakuum) button.
4. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed by pushing it down with your hand. The machine then
performs the vacuum-sealing process and switches off automatically once the operation
is complete.
5. Remove the connecting hose from your appliance.
6. To open the vacuum-sealer container, turn the knob on the lid; you should then hear the
noise of the air flowing into the container.
This noise guarantees that the contents have been vacuum-sealed.
In addition to this vacuum-sealer set, our range also offers you a choice of vacuum bags
and rolls in various sizes. These film bags are extremely strong and tear-proof. All vacuum
rolls and bags delivered by CASO are appropriate for cooking under vacuum (sous vide).
Furthermore the vacuum rolls and bags can be used for defrosting and heating in the
microwave at up to 70° C.
Please make sure when vacuum rolls and bags of other producers are used, whether they
are also microwaveable and suitable for cooking under vacuum.
